As the quality of stay plays a major role in the healing process, modern healthcare providers strive to create a somewhat homelike atmosphere in their facilities. However, the medical equipment installed in most of the patient rooms often gives them a rather clinical appearance, disrupting these efforts.

The design of VITA aims to solve this problem by making the equipment blend in with the surrounding interior. This is achieved by homogenizing the medical light, device rail and supply unit aesthetically as linear elements, so they can be incorporated into different standard or bespoke furnishings. Expanding on the concept of integration, the individual parts can be combined like building blocks, yielding new creations like device rails with indirect lighting modules.
