ADES

Developed by the Green Tech Startup Emerald Horizon, this energy amplifier combines the technology of molten salt reactors, the geometry of fusion reactors and adds an off switch as safety feature. By utilizing Thorium as an energy source, ADES generates heat without triggering a nuclear chain reaction.

The design study features the application of ADES as a small modular reactor. Scaling down the technical package to fit within a 40-foot container offers a wide range of potential applications, particularly when integrating multiple units into larger clusters. The visualisations show early stages of The Prototype (stand-alone) and The Demonstrator (pilot production).
